Rebecca Autumn Tenner
I have arrived. Finally a pink room in the house!! After a
leisurely morning drive to Tisch Hospital in New York City from my parent's
digs in Rye, I decided to come out and see the world! It was a very civilized
delivery on September 23, 2001 at 3:31 in the afternoon. (Unlike my brothers,
Zachary and Joseph, who made mommy and daddy labor all night!)
Mommy and daddy were impatiently waiting my arrival as even they thought I would
be born earlier in the month. Mommy was, how did she say it - DONE!
But enough about them, let's talk about ME - Rebecca Autumn. What is
the story with that name eh? Ok this is the deal, Rebecca is after my daddy's
maternal grandmother Rose. Rose was a beautiful, strong and wonderful lady
who walked everywhere and then some. She always spoke about those "golden
years" with great affection. My Hebrew name, pronounced "Rochel" in English, is
also after Grandma Rose, as it was hers, but more on that after my baby
naming which mommy is still planning for sometime in December. As for
Autumn, the "A" is for my mommy's maternal grandmother, Anna. Anna was also
a beautiful, sweet loving and capable woman who lived very far away in Chile. Anna
was loved by all and was always doting on everybody. Why Autumn? - well
that's my cousin Benny's fault, or contribution, I haven't decided yet!
September 23rd is the first day of fall/autumn... get it?
As for my vitals.... I weighed 6 lbs. 6 ozs. (2.89 kg
) and measured 19 inches (49 cm.) Which means I take a size 0-3 months, in
pink, lavender or mauve. I have blue eyes, the most gorgeous thick black hair
and I am very cute and adorable! You should have seen all the baby boys
looking at me in the nursery at the hospital. Even my brother Zachary was
surprised at the amount of head turning going on, as he and my mommy wheeled
me back to the nursery one afternoon.
I guess he
better warn daddy and take care of Joey for me as I'll be very busy
organizing my social calendar.
So, now I am home in beautiful Rye, getting used to my new surroundings with
mommy, daddy and my brothers Zack, "the Dude," and Joey, a.k.a. "Pepe." I
really love my brothers, and I know they love me very much too. Of course
this love will only grow as I get older and my brothers develop an interest
in dating my girlfriends. Below is a recent photo of my older sibs Zachary &
Joseph.
I already had my first outing to Saks Fifth Avenue together with mommy, my
babi and "otra babi" (that's grandmother and "other grandmother" for those of
you that don't speak Yiddish.) But I
don't know what the big deal is! I'm actually more interested in that new
NYU Law School building. Get that college
fund going! Law School is very expensive!
So stay tuned as I hope to have more info for you all regarding my
babynaming, as well as some additional photos as I grow up and older.
Love to
you all, and huge kisses.
Rebecca Autumn
